Meditation & Mindfulness Programs

Private and Group Mediation Instruction

The scientific research on the benefits of meditation has become clear. Meditation as a complement to other therapies may help manage symptoms of anxiety, asthma, cancer, chronic pain, depression, trauma, heart disease, high blood pressure, gastrointestinal concerns, insomnia/sleep interruptions, and stress responses, to name a few.

The emotional benefits of meditation can include the ability to gain new perspectives, resiliency to stressful situations, increased self-awareness, ability to focus on the present moment, reduction of uncomfortable emotions, increased creativity and imagination, and increased patience and tolerance.

As an evidenced based mind and body clinical practice, Sacred and Free clinicians will often refer meditation instruction, both private and group, as a compliment to your psychotherapeutic treatment plan. You do not need to be an active psychotherapy client to utilize this service- we offer guided mindfulness and meditation instruction as a stand alone practice as well.

Our in-house meditation and mindfulness instructor, Dan Appel will guide you into a peaceful and more restorative way of living.

To book directly with Dan, please email dan@sacredandfree.com or visit our Request Appointment page here.

Sample Meditation and Qigong Instruction can be found here.
